It would be great to integrate GitHub issues as first-class citizens in Codex, so you can go from issue to completion without breaking flow:
- Start a Codex thread directly from a GitHub issue
- Enable fast, continuous workflow from issue discovery to implementation and completion
- Reduce context switching between tools

You can write a skill to do part of this. Just use the
$skill-creatorskill and ask Codex to create it for you.I use this workflow frequently in the Codex app. My skill is named
$codex-bug, and I invoke it with the path to the bug report along with optional instructions (like "fix this" or "investigate this" or "tell me whether this is a regression").This feature request hasn't received enough upvotes, so closing.
