macOS: Codex.app repeatedly asks “would like to access data from other apps” and quits even after Allow

What issue are you seeing?

Codex.app does not quit immediately. After launching, it runs normally for about 3–4 minutes.

Then macOS shows the system prompt:
“Codex.app would like to access data from other apps. Keeping app data separate makes it easier to manage your privacy and security.”

After clicking Allow, Codex.app continues briefly, but then quits again after a few minutes.

When the app is launched again, the same permission prompt appears, and the cycle repeats.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Launch Codex.app on macOS
2. App runs normally for ~3–4 minutes
3. macOS system permission prompt appears:

“Codex.app would like to access data from other apps…”

1. Click Allow
2. Codex.app continues running briefly
3. After another ~3–4 minutes, Codex.app quits
4. Relaunch Codex.app
5. The same permission prompt appears again

This cycle repeats consistently.

What is the expected behavior?

After clicking “Allow” once, the permission should persist and Codex.app should continue running normally without quitting or re-prompting.
