Noticed the tooltip is now Cmd+Shift+P.

This issue has regressed after the Codex app was merged into the new ChatGPT desktop app.

Environment:

  • ChatGPT desktop 26.707.91948 (5440)
  • macOS 15.7.3

Reproduction:

  1. Focus the prompt composer.
  2. Press Shift+Tab.
  3. Plan mode is not toggled.

/plan works correctly. “Toggle plan mode” is configured as Shift+Tab, and there is no identical shortcut conflict; only similar bindings such as Control+Shift+Tab appear in shortcut search. This worked before the Codex/ChatGPT desktop merge.

This still appears to be an issue after the Codex app was merged into the ChatGPT desktop app.

Environment:

  • ChatGPT/Codex desktop: 26.715.31251 (5538)
  • macOS: Darwin 24.6.0 arm64

In Keyboard Shortcuts, “Toggle plan mode” is now shown as “Unassigned”. Earlier Codex App versions provided a default shortcut for toggling Plan Mode.

Was removing the default shortcut intentional? If so, could you clarify the rationale? If it is a regression or shortcut-migration issue, could this issue be reopened and the default shortcut restored?
