No idea why that asks me to open an issue. If I do not create this issue, is my /feedback lost?

Well, that seems broken too - the url that I had to use (https://github.com/openai/codex/issues/new?template=2-bug-report.yml&steps=Uploaded%20thread:%20019c3a57-c69b-71c2-91cc-7505fba7b075) contains the thread ID - but I don't see it here... Pretty sure that is a bug. The thread id is 019c3a57-c69b-71c2-91cc-7505fba7b075

Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately, it appears that the thread wasn't uploaded. It's not appearing in our database. Could you try again?

How am I supposed to try again? :/ By the time I saw this the chat session is many kilobytes longer. I certainly can't remember anymore what I all typed in the /feedback.

I just added another one that includes a lot of work... hopefully that one was recorded?!

I found it back in the chat history.
Maybe the "problem" is that it was a suggestion on how to improve Codex (dire lack of a feature, rather) that I submitted as a '4' ("4. other Slowness, feature suggestion, UX feedback, or anything else."). Nevertheless I then get:

Note the template=2-bug-report in the url?!
Seems pretty wrong to me; should have been template=4-other or something no?

Anyway, this particular feedback was about the lack of a "planning mode" where you can rely that Codex will not make any changes to the project, but still uses access to the project to read files etc, if necessary (I wouldn't even mind if it did run tests, as long as it didn't make any changes the project files, committed or not).

What prompted this feedback was the fact that Codex replied to my "[...] I'd like your comment on this so far, ideas/suggestions. But do not make any code changes and do not commit anything. Just chat, here." with: "[...] If you want, paste the current Window::register_draggable and CoordinateMapper::update_grabbed_cs signatures as they stand now (or a short git diff snippet) and I’ll [...]" apparently having forgotten that it can read all project files itself.
