Codex loses chat history when switching between tmux and non-tmux session

I have run a session under tmux (use codex inside a tmux session) an hour ago. Then I quit this session in
tmux and resume this session outside the tmux to continue the work.
After working for a while, I quit the session and resume again in the same terminal (not inside a tmux session), all the chat history after I quit from the tmux codex session disappear. In other word, after I resume, I return back to the point when I left the tmux codex session.

I am wondering whether switching from codex session in tmux and not will cause such history loss. I also encounter this when I previously use Claude Code.
