Codex exited after repeated stream disconnects; now I can’t use gpt-5.3-codex

When: Feb 11, 2026 ~21:40–21:45 UTC
Env: codex-cli 0.99.0, macOS 15.6 (arm64), workspace ~/Desktop/openai/openai-python

Logs (from ~/.codex/log/codex-tui.log):

• “Turn error: stream disconnected before completion: The model gpt-5.3-codex does not exist or you do not have

access to it.”

• Immediately after, UI showed: “Selected model: gpt-5.2-codex, Selected effort: xhigh”

Notes:

• I saw rate-limit messages in the UI before the failure, but they don’t appear in the log.
• App then exited and showed lots of logs.

Please check why gpt-5.3-codex suddenly became unavailable and caused the session to die.
