Codex can’t access hardware devices like /dev/hidraw* even when udev rules and
running them in Codex fails with “Permission denied” on /dev/hidraw*. Claude
can run the same commands successfully. Please consider allowing device access or a
safe way to grant it.

This issue was flagged as a duplicate of #7896, but that appears to be a false positive. #7896 is a merged PR about making a migration screen dynamic, which is completely unrelated to this sandbox/device access issue. This bug report is about Codex's sandbox preventing access to hardware devices (/dev/hidraw*), even when udev rules grant appropriate permissions. Please consider reopening/keeping this open.
