What issue are you seeing?

Recently I'm experiencing frequent reconnects in all the chats in codex app.
Before it was bearable, just "reconnecting 1/5" and then after a few seconds it worked normally.
But now it's going all the way to 5/5 and sometimes fail at the end. Work is slowed down, and I have to restart chats all the time.

Thanks, but that thread ID doesn't appear in our database. Perhaps something went wrong with the upload?

VladimirBrejcha · 5 months ago

I've used /feedback two more times. It's giving me the same id, I attach proof of upload. You can also see a lot of reconnects in the chat and error is now slightly different: stream disconnected before completion: Transport error: network error: error decoding response body

Sorry, it's not coming through. This typically indicates a network connectivity problem of some sort. Are you using a proxy or VPN? If you're on a corporate network, work with your IT team.

VladimirBrejcha · 5 months ago

no VPN, no proxy on my end:

• Yes, based on live checks right now, your network looks stable and there’s no clear sign of an active system VPN/proxy. - Stability: ping tests (30 packets each) to 192.168.1.1, 1.1.1.1, cloudflare.com, apple.com, and google.com all showed 0.0% packet loss; latency was low (~3.5 ms to router, ~7–10 ms internet avg). - Throughput/latency: networkQuality reported about 450 Mbps up, 464 Mbps down, and idle latency around 12.9 ms. - Proxy/VPN indicators: scutil --proxy showed no HTTP/HTTPS/SOCKS proxy enabled, proxy env vars were empty, and default IPv4 route is normal (en1 -> 192.168.1.1), not tunneled. - Public IP checks resolve to a residential ISP (AS3462 Data Communication Business Group, Taiwan), and Mullvad exit check was false.

I just updated to Version 26.217.1959 (669)
And since I got a deprecation warning I changed features collab -> multi_agent
The same chat with most issues worked with no problem now. I'm not sure what changed, and im not sure why reports are not coming through.

The same conversation keeps reconnecting again... Other conversations are fine tho

@VladimirBrejcha, are you still seeing this problem? None of the uploads are succeeding. My best guess is that you're blocked by a firewall. Are you located in a country or territory that OpenAI serves?

VladimirBrejcha · 4 months ago

Im not seeing this problem since I moved to a new chat window and archived the old one. Im pretty sure sure something is wrong with very long chats (that one was 10 days of intensive work), as the codex UI also lagging huge on a large chats.

Im located in Taiwan.

Fresh chats: no issues.
Im not using long history chats anymore, my conclusion its not stable.

OK, thanks. Glad to hear you're unblocked.

Without logs, there's not much we can do to diagnose this further, so I'm going to close this out.
