Can't open new Codex session

Each time I click on "Codex", it opens a new editor tab. This tab is empty, with the error "Conversation not found"

What steps can reproduce the bug?
Just open the commands palette and run Codex: New Codex Agent
What is the expected behavior?
The new Codex tab is opened with a new session.

as a work-around, click "Log out" and then "Sign in with Github Copilot". Codex extension version 26.304.20706

Same issue here.
Running
Codex: New Codex Agentopens an editor tab but shows "Conversation not found" (multiple error toasts).Workaround: start a conversation in the Codex Sidebar first, then open the Copilot chat sessions panel in the Secondary Side Bar, click on the Codex session from there — it then opens correctly as an editor tab.
Also affects #11727.
It seems to be fixed in the VSCode extension 26.5323.20928 (pre-release).
Now there's a new problem. I can only open one window
