[VS Code extension][Windows 11] Codex is totally disregarding my constraints and doing its own thing

So friggn tired of Codex just totally disregarding my constraints. In the latest battle, there are test fixtures in place for TDD. It pushes and PUSHES the need for a new parameter to pass to the testing harness and it DOESN'T even give a reason why. Just says things like "Because I wrote the fixture wrong." or "I can fix this using existing data (plain, htmlFrag, expectedListStart) and make the fixture catch it via expected output/assertions, without adding new function parameters.". It's just utter BS and it is interfering with my workflow.
