Session has around 12% space left, keeps attempting to run compaction but hangs and returns this error: "■ Error running remote compact task: stream disconnected before completion: error sending request for url
(https://chatgpt.com/backend-api/codex/responses/compact)"
I've tried from the Codex macOS app Version 26.305.950 (863), as well as from codex-cli 0.107.0 and 0.111.0.
Everything else network-wise is working fine, so it doesn't appear to be a network connectivity issue.

This may only happen when you use gpt-5.4 instead of a codex model like gpt-5.3-codex. I was able to switch models, compact, and then switch back.
This it probably related to the too short timeout fix I just submitted https://github.com/openai/codex/issues/14860
