Provide the ability to allow workspace-write to access ./.codex

What feature would you like to see?

My understanding is that the only way to allow the agent to access the local repo ./.codex/ is to switch on danger mode. There does not seem to be any way to allow workspace-write to write and edit the local repo ./.codex. This would be especially useful for developing complex skills with many scripts. Even allowing ./.codex/skills to be edited would be enough.
