it recently got updated to version 0.2 , uninstall the old version and install new version using brew install codex

I'm speaking about npm version. "brew" is a Mac package manager

The npm version of Codex lacks updates due to a strategic shift to a new Rust-powered Command Line Interface (CLI). OpenAI announced a Rust CLI Cutover and the first official release, rust-v0.2.0, is now available for download or via brew install codex
