Different accounts = different weekly limits?
What issue are you seeing?
I’ve often mentioned in token-usage discussions that I never really felt like my account had the x2 limits promo that’s supposedly in place.
Today, I compared my data with a colleague, using only activity since the last reset on March 11, so we’re looking at the exact same timeframe. The data was extracted with ccusage. And we're both on the Plus plan.
I mostly use Codex 5.4 on medium, while he uses 5.4 on high. In the screenshot, the left panel is my data and the right panel is his.
My total token usage is about 2x his, however, I consumed 66% of my weekly limit while he consumed only 10%. This implies his weekly quota is about 3x mine.

I know limits are not publicly detailed and may even be dynamic, but I don't expect different limits on different accounts on the same plan as that would be a terrible user experience.
Also, this may actually be related to why there have been so many complains about weekly limits, maybe it's a bug in the quota itself, not the tokens being used.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
Just track token usage + weekly limit over time, estimate weekly quota and compare across accounts.

I'm seeing exactly the same, a Team account through work since March 10th is draining very fast, while my personal account I use on the weekend is very generous as before. The difference is night and day. The Team account previously had higher limits than the personal Plus account. Something changed for me at 7:42AM UTC on March 10th (the time of the last unexpected reset that account received)
I cleared my ~/.codex/session directory and also started using a rtk token optimizer that shims tool calls to returned optimized data and my token usage has slowed to a craw when earlier in the week I was burning through tokens like crazy. I read somewhere the session directory getting full was related to the token burn and based on my experience that seems credible. However since I also implemented rtk at the same time I can't be 100% sure.
