Codex has completely changed how my company operates and we are effectively able to automate everything. The only thing we cannot automate is codex itself.
Can we expose a tool call that allows a thread to create other threads with user prompts (essentially sub-agents, but without the communication)? This would have an absolutely outsized effect on productivity.

You can ask codex to start additional copies of itself by running
codex exec <prompt>. We made lots of use of that prior to the introduction of subagents.This feature request hasn't received enough upvotes, so I'm closing it.
