ChatGPT Models 5.3 and 5.4 not supported on Business ChatGPT account

What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

What subscription do you have?

ChatGPT Business

What platform is your computer?

Linux 6.17.0-19-generic x86_64 x86_64

What issue are you seeing?

Requests error out when trying to use the latest models (5.3 and 5.4). The error is something like:

{"detail":"The 'gpt-5.4' model is not supported when using Codex with a ChatGPT account."}

I am using my chatGPT business account but codex registers it as a free account

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Install codex
2. Sign in to codex
3. Check status (says "Free")

Repeating the login process (logout then login) does not help

What is the expected behavior?

Should show up as a business account

On checking the status, account being seen as Free account, despite it being a paid business account
