What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. Open a terminal on Windows.
  2. Resize the terminal so it is relatively narrow or small.
  3. Start Codex CLI in that terminal.
  4. Observe the status line at the bottom or top of the interface.
  5. Compare the rendering with a wider terminal window.

What is the expected behavior?

The status line should remain readable and render correctly even in a smaller terminal window.
