Switching chat threads is taking 10 seconds

What issue are you seeing?

It takes 10 seconds now to go between chat threads, making me want to switch to a more performant app. This issue seems to have happened progressively, perhaps as I have more chat threads or because of something your recently changed. It could also be slow look up from Codex windows app to the wsl system, having to do a complex search command.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Open Codex App on Windows (WSL agent)
2. Click one thread
3. Wait 10 seconds
4. Click another thread

What is the expected behavior?

It should take so long to load a chat. If anything keep the current slice fast access and the load the tool calls (in between steps). I would even be okay with a loading indicator, as being stuck on the old chat and getting no response for your click is bad software.
