Codex keeps hanging at "thinking".. no output and no work is being completed

What issue are you seeing?

when using any of the models with extra high, codex goes to execute and then starts "thinking..." at which point no work gets completed. I let it sit for 2 hours and no work has been completed.

I terminate the current process and ask it to proceed/continue - the same thing happens. I terminate again, this time asking why is it hanging, it will not give any response.

I will quit the app and restart, it puts it back into a state that it can response and review previous attempts.

I will ask it to continue work, it repeats the above cycle.

i am asking it to execute on a plan, and the implementation work does not complete.
