MacBook Air M4 overheating running vs code codex extension.
Code Helper process in activity monitor shows 100 to 350% cpu usage.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

normal operating temps and reasonable cpu usage.

I am using M5 MacbookPro and facing a similar issue. The CPU usage for Code Helper stays high after I use Codex VS Code plugin. Before I use or after restarting VS Code without using Codex then the CPU usage kept low.

same here, very high impact on CPU usage and battery. it literally grills my macbook. please fix it!

I found a fix for this. So far working great. Before this I had to buy a $200 powerbank just to get any useful live span out of a mobile session.
