connect to github dialog box keeps popping up

Hi, Codex Desktop keeps opening repeated “Connect to GitHub” dialogs when I add a project that is only a local Git repository. I do not want to grant GitHub access.

Version: Codex Desktop 0.115.0-alpha.27
Observed on: March 26, 2026

Repro steps:

  1. Remove the local repo from the project list.
  2. Quit and reopen Codex.
  3. No popup appears at that point.
  4. Click “Add new project” and add the same local Git repo again.
  5. Multiple “Connect to GitHub” dialogs start appearing.

Notes:

  • The repo is local only.
  • I do not see any GitHub/Connectors/Integrations settings in the app to turn this off.
  • The popup appears specifically after adding the local Git repo as a project.
  • This still happens after clearing local Codex state related to cloud/setup prompts.

Could you confirm whether this is a known issue and how to disable GitHub prompts for local repositories?
