relax node 22 or newer requirement

This is a nice tool, however, it required node 22 or newer.
We have projects on older node version and we use nvm to switch version depending on the project we are working on. If we switch to node 22 then our project can't be run or build, if we switch to version 19 then it can't find codex (since it installed with node v22).
I'm sure there are many existing projects that are still on node older than 22 that can't be upgrade yet. Is it possible to create this tool in native binary for macOS and windows so that it doesn't depend on node?
Maybe use codex to do conversion?
