Resume picker should make the selected row much easier to track
What variant of Codex are you using?
CLI
What feature would you like to see?
The codex resume picker becomes hard to use when there are many sessions because the currently selected item is not visually strong enough across the full row.
Today, the left-side selector is easy to lose while scanning a long list, especially because the conversation preview is far to the right. In practice, I can end up looking at one conversation preview while the actual selected marker is on a different row.
I would like the selected row to be much easier to track visually. Any of these would help:
- highlight the full selected row
- apply a stronger background or inverse style across the row
- add a clearer selected-state marker that is visible across the whole width
- otherwise make it obvious which conversation preview belongs to the currently selected entry
This would make the picker much easier to use when there are dozens or hundreds of saved sessions.
Related but not the same as:
- #8709, which asks for expanding/collapsing the prompt view in the resume picker
This request is specifically about making the currently selected row much more visually obvious.
Additional information
This becomes particularly annoying in workflows where I frequently reopen a session briefly and then exit again, because I end up spending too much effort just confirming what is currently selected in the picker.
