Codex Upgrade to Pro is Completely Broken on VS Code

What issue are you seeing?

"You're out of Codex messages. Come back next week." Click Upgrade. nothing happens. Log into the site and upgrade.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

"You're out of Codex messages. Come back in next week." Click Upgrade. nothing happens.

Log into Codex site. Upgrade to Pro.

Restart VS Code. see error.

Change versions of Codex. See error.

Reboot windows, see error.

Remove Codex. reinstall Codex. see error.

What is the expected behavior?

Use Codex.

Additional information

No debugging. No visibility that I may be in mismatched accounts. No way to debug that I can tell. _AWFUL User Experience after an INCREDIBLE awesome start._

It's Unusable now until Saturday.

with NO guidance on how to fix as far as I can figure out. The Internet answers don't work. And you cannot ask Codex.
