The Codex application creates a read-only .codex file

codex-cli 0.118.0

What subscription do you have?

Enterprise

Which model were you using?

gpt-5.4

What platform is your computer?

Linux 6.8.0-79-generic x86_64 x86_6

What terminal emulator and version are you using (if applicable)?

Terminal (Linux Mint default terminal)

What issue are you seeing?

The Codex application creates a read-only .codex file.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

If I start codex in a new directory, ask it to list the files in the directory, it will show me there's a read-only (444) .codex file.

Every time I use codex it will create that file for me now.

What is the expected behavior?

To not do that.
