What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

OpenAI.Codex 26.406.3494.0

What subscription do you have?

Plus

What platform is your computer?

Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.26200.0 x64

What issue are you seeing?

The desktop app is only partially localized to Simplified Chinese.

Some parts of the UI are shown in Chinese, while other parts remain in English in the same window/session. The result is a mixed Chinese/English interface.

Examples:

  • Chinese:
  • 新线程
  • 技能和应用
  • 自动化
  • 设置
  • 开始构建
  • English:
  • File
  • Edit
  • View
  • Window
  • Help
  • Search

This makes it look like zh-CN is recognized, but localization coverage is incomplete.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. Install the Codex desktop app on Windows.
  2. Launch the app with Chinese locale enabled.
  3. Open the main window.
  4. Observe that some UI text is in Chinese while other UI text is still in English.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

just open codex

What is the expected behavior?

If the app is using zh-CN, the desktop UI should be consistently localized to Simplified Chinese.

Additional information

I am attaching a screenshot showing the mixed-language UI.
