Darwin 25.3.0 arm64 arm

What issue are you seeing?

Hyperlinks to codeblocks now open in the codex sidebar instead of vscode. How do i get rid of this, i don't want it to open in the sidebar.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. Open repo
  2. Ask codex to list a file hyperlink
  3. It will open in the codex sidebar instead of vscode like before

What is the expected behavior?

It should open in the configured editor.

Any updates on this?

The right sidebar only gets in the way and it is so annoying. Maybe a setting to disable the right sidebar entirely?

Same here, last friday it still opened in my IDE of choice. Now it only opens in the sidebar. The 'Default open destination' setting in General settings doesn't seem to be respected anymore either.

Also, this might be a dupe of #17526

I created a repository for automated daily release snapshots so that we have an option to downgrade in the future
