What version of Codex CLI is running?

codex-cli 0.120.0

What subscription do you have?

Pro

Which model were you using?

gpt-5.4

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 24.3.0 arm64 arm

What terminal emulator and version are you using (if applicable)?

Superset

What issue are you seeing?

The terminal is truncated at the end of the turn. You don't get to see the end of the model's response. The amount that it's truncated appears to vary. This sometimes, but not always, comes with a duplication of the input GUI (the grey bar, user input, model info, etc.). So you'll see a non functional GUI and then your real one at the bottom. And a bunch of blank space padding.

This error mode comes with two additional weird failures.

If you try to /resume the same chat that's truncated, sometimes the instance crashes. Sometimes it correctly says "Already viewing."
Both when it crashes, or if you manually kill it, it does not show the resume ID

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Uploaded thread: 019d7978-2858-7d10-b31b-65bd54ebc6ae

What is the expected behavior?

No truncation, resume ID when killed. Resume tells you that you're already viewing instead of crashing.
