this is not a duplicate, pretty sure this is linked to the 0.120 release yesterday
There was an unsupported prototype checked in to an earlier version of the CLI. It was never documented or completed. I'm guessing that you found this prototype and were using it. It was recently removed from the source base.
If you'd like to see this feature officially implemented, please upvote #14630.
