Launcher dropdown disappears after selecting a thread

What issue are you seeing?

The launcher dropdown in the top-right (containing apps like VS Code, Terminal, Finder, etc.) disappears after selecting a thread.

It is visible immediately after launching the app, but disappears as soon as a thread is opened. Once it disappears, it does not come back during the session unless the app is restarted.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Launch the Codex Desktop app
2. Confirm that the launcher dropdown is visible in the top-right corner
3. Open or select any thread
4. The launcher dropdown disappears

The launcher should be visible in the top-right area, but is missing in the second screenshot.

What is the expected behavior?

The launcher dropdown should remain visible and accessible regardless of thread selection.

• It happens on both macOS and Windows
• The launcher appears normally on app startup
• The issue is triggered specifically when switching to a thread view
• Restarting the app temporarily restores the launcher, but the issue occurs again after selecting a thread
• This suggests the UI state is not preserved during view transitions
