Context window disappeared?

What subscription do you have?

What issue are you seeing?

At the bottom of the chats, the context window has disappeared.

I noticed it after the latest update - the context window that usually had a little ring with a percentage representing the remaining context window of that particular chat, is now not there anymore.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Open a chat and look for the context window at the bottom of the terminal

What is the expected behavior?

It should display the remaining context window, like it has been doing before this update.

This was an intentional change. It is no longer displayed by default. You can add it back if you'd like using the /statusline command.

That's a disappointing decision. Also, in the new ChatGPT app, it's no longer possible to use the context window via the /status command. There's no indication at all of the context being used. That's really sad.

@florian-kalisch, the app has a setting that allows you to display an indicator in the composer that shows how much of the context window is used. It's disabled by default because most users don't care about this detail, but if it's important for your workflows, you can enable it.
