Improve context usage visibility and limits information

What variant of Codex are you using?

Codex Desktop Application

What feature would you like to see?

I think it would be really valuable if Codex could take some inspiration from Claude Desktop when it comes to transparency around context management and limits.

Claude Desktop provides very clear visibility into how the context window is being used, including breakdowns like messages, tools, system prompt, and remaining space. This makes it much easier to understand behavior, debug issues, and work efficiently.

In Codex, this kind of visibility is basically missing, and it makes it harder to reason about what’s happening under the hood.

I’m not sure if this is planned, but I genuinely hope something like this or even better! gets added. Having clear insight into context usage and limits would be a big improvement for users.
