All prompts return "invalid_request_error"

What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

Codex Pro+

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 25.4.0 arm64 arm

What issue are you seeing?

I just updated Codex App. Now every prompt returns:

{"error":{"message":"Invalid request payload","type":"invalid_request_error","code":"invalid_request_error","param":"tools"}}```

And I can see following is being returned:

code=invalid_request_error message=Value error, Unsupported tool type: image_generation

I did not change anything except upgrade. Using GPT-5.4 model.
Codex CLI works without issue.

Note, even opening a new chat in Codex app and saying "Hello" results in this issue.

Open Codex App and start new chat.

Not having this error
