Composer gets stuck sending and leaves residual text after send

What issue are you seeing?

When pressing Enter to send in the Codex desktop app chat composer, the Send button keeps spinning for a long time.

Sometimes the message does not finalize until I click elsewhere in the UI.

I also reproduced this after switching to an English input method, so it is not limited to Chinese IME.

In some cases, the message appears in the conversation as already sent, but the same text remains in the composer input box (residual draft text).

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Open Codex desktop app and any chat thread.
2. Type a short message in the composer.
3. Press Enter to send.
4. Observe that the send button can keep spinning for a long time.
5. In some attempts, click elsewhere in the UI; the message may then complete.
6. Sometimes the message appears in the thread, but the same text remains in the input box.

Notes:

• Reproduced with Chinese input and also with English input method.

What is the expected behavior?

Pressing Enter should send immediately and clear the composer input every time.

The send/loading state should resolve without requiring extra clicks elsewhere.

Once the message is sent, no residual text should remain in the input box.

Possible regression: this did not happen in several earlier Codex app versions.
