Broken flow: creating an automation template

What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

What subscription do you have?

Pro

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 25.3.0 arm64 arm

What issue are you seeing?

From the Codex app:

Automations > [+ New Automation] > [Use Template] > [Create New]

From the user perspective, this really seems like this flow would create a new reusable template, instead it just create an automation (not using any templates unless templates is selected again downstream of this flow)

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Automations > [+ New Automation] > [Use Template] > [Create New]

Should create a new reusable template

I could not find an alternative mechanism to create a new template - maybe under ~/.codex? I would love to hear back is there is any way we can create templates in user land !
