What issue are you seeing?
I cannot log into the Codex app. I consistently get:
Operation timed out
Important context:
- Everything worked fine before
- I logged out of Codex
- Then I was invited to a ChatGPT Business team
- After joining the team, the issue started
Now:
- I can log into ChatGPT (web/app) without any issues
- But Codex login always fails with a timeout
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Log out from Codex app
- Get invited to a ChatGPT Business team and accept the invite
- Log into ChatGPT (works fine)
- Open Codex and try to log in
- Login fails with: Operation timed out
What is the expected behavior?
Codex should allow login with the same ChatGPT account, regardless of Business team membership.
Additional information
- Tried logging in via Safari and Chrome → same result
- Cleared cookies and browser data → no effect
- Changed DNS → no effect
- Same machine and environment as before (no changes)
- Regular ChatGPT works fine, issue only affects Codex
- Issue started immediately after joining Business team
- Possibly related to account auth/session handling for Business accounts
Impact: Cannot use Codex at all after joining Business team

Update: I also cannot authenticate via Codex CLI, not just the desktop app.
Because both the app and CLI fail, this now looks less like a browser/cookie issue and more like a Business workspace access problem after I joined the team.
Regular ChatGPT login still works, but Codex authentication does not. This suggests a possible issue with workspace entitlement, seat assignment, Codex Local permissions, or workspace credit/spend configuration.
