Severe App laggyness on a good computer?

What issue are you seeing?

I understand that this is an common issue across the board, but at this point I am hopeless. The app feels unbearable to use in the current state. Chats, new or old, freeze up the entire window despite there being more than enough resources available for codex to use. After each message finish the app would lock up for several seconds up to a minute. This also seems to happen when sending messages. Making new threads did fix this at some point, however this just happens always now. Tibo over on X said that they DID roll out a patch which tried to address these issues, and I DO remember it feeling better for a while, however practically 1 update after that the issue problem resurfaced & seems worse. Does anyone have any fixes ready/anything you'd like to share that improves the apps performance? This is seriously the only thing that's keeping me from daily driving codex.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Use a thread for long enough.
2. Notice the degradation in speed & sloppyness of the app.
