Model switching broken f/ new thread creation

What issue are you seeing?

5.5 model cannot be chosen as the active model from the model switcher dropdown, during new thread creation. If something is happening, it is not visible on the front end, and no error or other message appears to notify me of any change or the lack thereof.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Model selector input updates to 5.5
