Updated to latest version, now constant hangs and no conversations will load

What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

What subscription do you have?

Plus

What platform is your computer?

Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.26200.0 x64

What issue are you seeing?

I updated to try GPT5.5. Now I see these issues.

  • Hangs on opening and is unresponsive when I click the login button
  • No conversations will load
  • Constant crashes with Code=9 Signal=Null Most recent error=none.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. Install the latest version of Codex App.
  2. Try to open a conversation.
  3. Conversation remains blank forever.

What is the expected behavior?

Conversation opens correctly

Additional information

I am working in WSL.

I tried the CLI version and it was crashing with this error.

"Error loading rules: C:\Users\xxxxx\.codex\rules\rules.rules:1: starlark error: error: positional argument after non positional (problem is on or around line 1)"

I tried disabling the rules file and CLI worked.
App is still totally broken though and I have not resolved it.
