What feature would you like to see?

I have a Plus plan and I am getting a notification message on codex "Error running remote compact task: You've hit your usage limit. Upgrade to Pro (https://chatgpt.com/explore/pro), visit https://chatgpt.com/codex/settings/usage to purchase more credits or try again at Apr 28th, 2026 9:02 PM.". This is unacceptable. I’m building a real project but I am not a professional developer.
The current Codex hard usage limits block my workflow completely.

Unlike competitors (like Claude Code), where limits reset every few hours,
Codex stops access entirely until a future date.

This makes it very difficult to learn and build projects.

Request:

Either remove hard stop limits
Or allow continuous usage with degraded speed
Or provide beginner-friendly mode with softer limits

This is critical for non-developers trying to build real products.

It should not be closed, you need to fix this. This usage limit came right
after my renewal date, which was April 22nd. Something seems to be
manipulated

i double this, i have a Pro subscription myself and the rate limits are actually so limiting that only a few prompts already exhaust around 25% of my week limit, sometimes a single prompt completely devours my 5 hour limit
there really should just be the 5 hour limit, the weekly limit is just plain stupid, im genuinely ready to increase the load on my GPU to run it locally on my computer to minimize the rate limit usage, but obviously for them its more profitable to force users to pay for the 100 - 200 dollar subscription for the simplest of tasks

5h currently takes around 30% of my weekly limit on plus. 5h is exhausted in like 1 hour max using 5.5 medium/low(5.4 is unusably slow for some reason). Not sure what's going on, it was supposed to be fixed few days ago(as per OpenAI Status page).
