What feature would you like to see?
Codex is becoming much stronger, especially with image generation, browser workflows, Git review, and project automation. But one major missing piece is a real built-in code editor inside Codex App.
Many users want Codex to feel more like Cursor: file tree, tabs, syntax highlighting, manual code editing, live diffs, and real-time Git changes while the agent works.
Right now Codex is a powerful agent, but Cursor is still better as a live coding workspace. Adding a real editor would make Codex much closer to a complete AI IDE.
Please consider adding a real editor and real-time Git change visibility to Codex App.

Agree on this and its critical for my workflow. I often have to modify something tiny and i don't want to have to tell the agent "replace this word with X" when i can just replace it manually myself. Its a waste of time and tokens.
I know many people disagree with this but in enterprise I see code agents as a coworker you are pairing with, not a way to write code without ever seeing it (that might work for tiny projects but its not acceptable for large or critical systems). Being able to edit code together with the agent is crucial for this to be a pairing session where I can ensure the output is exactly what I want.
