What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

26.422.62136

What subscription do you have?

Pro 200

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 25.5.0 arm64 arm

What issue are you seeing?

After updating to Codex App 26.422.62136 on macOS, the left navigation/sidebar items have visible UI rendering glitches.

The glitch appears to be connected to cursor activity:

  • When the cursor is idle, the nav items glitch in sync with the normal cursor pulse/blink.
  • When typing, the glitches follow the typing/cursor activity instead.
  • Hovering left nav items causes additional glitches in the nav item background/hover state.

This makes the left navbar visually unstable during normal use.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. Open Codex App 26.422.62136 on macOS.
  2. Keep the left navigation/sidebar visible.
  3. Focus a text input/composer so the cursor is visible.
  4. Stop typing and watch the left nav items while the cursor blinks.
  5. Type in the composer and watch the left nav items.
  6. Hover over items in the left nav/sidebar.

The nav item text/backgrounds visually glitch in sync with cursor blink/typing, and hover states introduce additional background glitches.

What is the expected behavior?

The left navigation/sidebar should render stably. Cursor blinking, typing, and hover states should not cause unrelated nav items or nav item backgrounds to flicker/glitch.

Additional information

I searched for similar existing issues before filing. There are related macOS rendering issues, but I did not find an exact duplicate for left nav item glitches tied to cursor blink/typing/hover state in Codex App 26.422.62136.
