What subscription do you have?

EDU

What platform is your computer?

macos 15.6.1 (24G90)

What issue are you seeing?

I can ssh to my server using claude code, but Codex keeps showing "Failed to update connection"

What steps can reproduce the bug?

I tried different servers.

There might an old Codex app server still running:

pkill -f "codex app-server"
rm -f ~/.codex/app-server-control/app-server-control.sock
rm -f ~/.codex/app-server-control/app-server-startup.lock

works for me
