Codex App automatically deletes the built-in Image Gen skill after launch

Description

The built-in "Image Gen" skill is automatically deleted within 1–5 minutes after launching the Codex App. The skill is present immediately after launch but disappears completely afterwards. This behavior started on April 29, 2026, after updating to Codex version 26.422.71525 (2210).

Environment

• Device: MacBook Pro (M4 Pro)
• Tested regions: United States, Japan, Singapore
• Subscription: OpenAI Pro (including Plus)
• Codex config: Default settings (no customizations made)

Expected behavior

The Image Gen skill should remain available in the Codex App after launch.

Additional info

I have already checked the Codex App configuration files, which remain at default settings, so I believe this is not a configuration-related issue. This appears to be a significant regression in this version.

Please investigate and resolve this issue at your earliest convenience.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Launch the Codex App (version 26.422.71525 (2210)) on a MacBook Pro M4 Pro.
2. Verify that the built-in "Image Gen" skill is visible in the skills list immediately after startup.
3. Keep the app open and idle for 1–5 minutes.
4. Check the skills list again — the "Image Gen" skill will have disappeared completely, with no way to access or use it.

This behavior is consistent across different regions (US, Japan, Singapore) with an OpenAI Pro (Plus-included) subscription, using default Codex configuration files with no custom modifications.

What is the expected behavior?

The built-in "Image Gen" skill should remain permanently available in the Codex App’s skills list after launch, without being automatically removed or hidden. The skill should be accessible and functional at all times during the app session, just as it was in previous versions.
