Severe display/rendering corruption in Codex app on Intel Mac

Summary

The Codex desktop app has a severe UI rendering/display bug on my Intel MacBook Pro. Several pages are rendered with large blank or clipped areas, misplaced content, and broken rounded borders/shadows. This makes the app very difficult to use.

I suspect this may be related to the Intel Mac build or rendering path, because the machine is an Intel-based MacBook Pro.

Environment

  • Codex app version: 26.422.71525
  • Bundle identifier: com.openai.codex
  • Mac model: MacBook Pro (MacBookPro16,1)
  • CPU: 2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7
  • Memory: 32 GB
  • macOS: macOS 14.5 (23F79)
  • Kernel: Darwin 23.5.0
  • Architecture: Intel / x86_64 Mac

Impact

This severely affects daily use of the Codex desktop app. Please help investigate and prioritize a fix, especially for Intel Mac users.
