What steps can reproduce the bug?
Create Session A using provider_a and pin it to the top. Then, replace the configuration file with a new one that supports only provider_b. Upon opening Session A, an error occurs.

This is by design. We do not generally support switching between providers within a session. Start a new session if you want to switch providers.
