Codex Desktop search overlay is poorly positioned and cannot be moved

Unknown from the agent side while filing; the human user can correct this if needed.

What platform is your computer?

Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.26200.0 x64

What issue are you seeing?

In the Codex desktop app, the conversation search overlay / search bar is positioned in a very awkward place near the top-right of the window. It sits close to the window controls and other top-bar controls, making the UI feel cramped and easy to obstruct.

The user-facing problem is that the search box cannot be moved or repositioned, so if it appears in a bad location for a given window size / display scale / layout, the user has no way to fix it except closing search or resizing the whole app window.

The screenshot provided by the user shows the search bar labeled 搜索对话... appearing near the window title controls, with very little spacing from the minimize/maximize/close area.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Open Codex Desktop on Windows.
2. Open the conversation search UI, where the placeholder text is 搜索对话... in a Chinese locale.
3. Observe the search overlay position near the top-right of the app window.
4. Try to reposition or drag the search overlay.
5. There appears to be no way to adjust its position.

What is the expected behavior?

The search UI should be positioned so it does not crowd or overlap with window/title-bar controls, and should remain ergonomic across window sizes, display scaling settings, and locales.

Possible improvements:

• Center the search overlay in the top area or otherwise place it away from window controls.
• Anchor it to a stable content/sidebar area instead of the title-bar control area.
• Make the search overlay draggable or remember a user-adjusted position.
• Ensure a safe margin from minimize/maximize/close and other top-right controls.

Additional information

This is especially noticeable in localized UI because the placeholder 搜索对话... appears inside a fairly wide search control, making the top-right area feel visually crowded.

I did a quick issue search before filing and did not find an obvious duplicate specifically about the Codex Desktop conversation search overlay position being poor or non-adjustable.
