What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

26.506.21252

What subscription do you have?

API key (authMethod=apikey)

What platform is your computer?

macOS (26.4.1 as reported in app logs)

What issue are you seeing?

After updating Codex Desktop on macOS, I can no longer open Settings from the normal UI entry (profile/menu path).
However, Cmd + , still opens Settings successfully.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. Update Codex Desktop to 26.506.21252.
  2. Launch app with API key auth mode.
  3. Try to open Settings from the visible UI entry (menu/profile/settings entry).
  4. Observe that the entry is missing or clicking it does nothing.
  5. Press Cmd + ,.

What is the expected behavior?

Settings should open from both:

  • UI entry (menu/profile/settings)
  • Keyboard shortcut (Cmd + ,)

Additional information

I also see repeated telemetry/network errors in local logs around the same session, e.g.:

  • Statsig ... timeout
  • .../ces/v1/rgstr ... 403
  • ab.chatgpt.com/v1/initialize ... timeout

Not sure if related, but including in case this is feature-gating/config bootstrap related.
