This is literally the only app on my machine that causes it to throttle. Lmstudio running models that barely fit into my available ram and utilizing mlx? No. Windows games running on wine? No.
Rendering a simple forms based DESKTOP APPLICATION?? Yes!
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Open the application.
- Turn on the AC as the room you're using it in begins to heat up
- Double check that you bought applecare+ incase apple's engineers could not foresee these kind of thermals
What is the expected behavior?

Ok I am quite sure I know what it is. It is the spinner. Whenever there is a spinner being rendered (the gradient passing over text), the gpu usage shoots up.
This is the first time I've see my temps go to 102c
I think now it's the spinner and the new numbers bumping when the agent edits animation.
I have the same issue with my MacBook Pro M4. The GPU usage is between 90% and 95% when the application is visible.
When I press CMD+H to hide it, the Mac becomes responsive again with the GPU at 1%.
This makes it impossible for me to use, since I also use Figma for design work and other tasks, and the 95% GPU usage is blocking me.
Hey, sorry, please ignore.
My cat really likes this vibe coded slopware: He's taken to sitting behind the laptop right near the vents. He looks really happy. This is literally the only app that shoots my temps up to 100% merely by being displayed so it works really well for this (I would probably have done folding@home to keep the temps up for the cat but that's boring).
Thanks (meow).
