Codex version: 26.506.31421
macOS: 15.6.1
Device: Apple M4
Display: 2560x1440, screen_density=1

Issue:
The desktop pet/avatar body displays correctly after toggling macOS display scaling, but the speech bubble / dialog overlay is still positioned incorrectly or clipped.

Notes:

  • This happens with the official Codex pet too, so it is not a custom spritesheet issue.
  • Custom pet assets are valid and restored to original.
  • Toggling display scaling fixed the pet body position, but not the bubble.
  • The visible avatar overlay area appears much larger than the pet sprite, and the bubble anchor seems not aligned with the actual sprite position.

Expected:
Speech bubble should anchor near the visible pet sprite and remain inside the screen.

Actual:
Bubble/dialog overlay is misplaced or clipped.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Wake up the pet, dialogue

What is the expected behavior?
